Commercial Broker of the Year 2016 Finalist
HoldenCAPITAL is proud to be announced as a finalist for the Commercial Mortgage Broker of the Year for the Australian Broking Awards in 2016.
After winning both the Queensland and National Commercial Mortgage Broker of the Year awards in 2015, we are delighted to again be a finalist, particularly as the industry sky-rockets in terms of its size and sophistication.
Independent specialist mortgage advisory is one of Australia’s fastest growing sectors. In 2002 only 12% of home loans were written by independent mortgage brokers with the balance written by the lenders directly, fast-forward to 2015 and 58% of all home loans in the country are now originated by an independent broker.
This trend is now playing out in the commercial mortgage space where we have seen a rapid growth in the levels of business written by independent brokers, reportedly from 6% to 38%. This is a clear endorsement of the engagement of specialist brokers to navigate the best solution for customers.
In addition, there are a growing number of private capital providers, which are now in massive demand as a result of the changing appetite for debt products amongst the tradition lenders and few have dedicated sales staff let-alone a listing in the yellow pages to attract new business. They too are therefore very much reliant on the independent specialist mortgage advisors like HoldenCAPITAL to identify and source opportunities that suit their appetite, as well as preparing a comprehensive credit assessment which allows them to make quick and appropriately informed decisions.
